Quietly Going Extinct
Shining bright, filling indigo nights,
spirits frolic in ancient reprise.
Images flicker with shimmering lights
kindling fires in luminous skies.
Galaxies spin in frenzied flight,
nuclei collide, ions disintegrate.
Fusion emits scintillating visions,
while fluxing particles discharge
rippling photonic radiation,
sparking fires in virgin creations.
In silent, soaring reverie I find
time unwinds its minutes into mind.
Innocence lies irrevocably adrift.
Life's meaning is quietly going extinct.
