More Than Perception
The leaf, the tree,
the world around
and the world in me -
all are part of the plan,
the ultimate reality.
It is more than perception
which makes me real;
it is what I cannot feel.
The forces of existence
come into context
beyond my outstretched hand,
and I still don't understand
what it all means.
Still, I see a pattern in a sense,
although infinitely dense
and interwoven
with the finer strands of reason
we cannot achieve.
I grasp wildly
for a thread of understanding
and life's hidden meaning,
but the moment never comes
to realization.
I can never overcome
the illusion of being,
and all that I am seeing
is a dream.
